Maria is the lead instructor for the Women’s Program. She began training at Serra BJJ Academy in 2011 and received her Black Belt in 2019. Maria is Matt Serra’s first female Black Belt. She loves teaching and can often be found helping others and providing guidance with their Jiu Jitsu. In addition to teaching at the academy, Maria is a mother of three and is a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner.
