Professor Matt Serra is the head instructor at Serra BJJ Academy. Matt is a Fifth Degree Black Belt under Master Renzo Gracie and was the first American to be awarded their Black Belt from Master Renzo. In his tenure as a high level combat sports athlete, Matt has been an ADCC, Mundial and UFC Champion. He holds notable wins over Chris Lytle, Frank Trigg, and Georges St. Pierre. In 2018, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
